WTHR goes On the Road to Anderson for Decision 2012 coverage
Indianapolis – Channel 13 Eyewitness News is heading out across Central Indiana during this election season to find out what is on Hoosiers’ minds. Eyewitness News anchors and reporters will report live in the early evening newscast from 10 Central Indiana cities/towns each Thursday leading up to Election Day.
Decision 2012 On the Road will kick off on Thursday, August 23rd in Anderson. The public is invited to come and be part of the live broadcast from downtown Anderson. Eyewitness News anchor Andrea Morehead, an Anderson native, will report live from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Town Center.
After the newscasts, the public is also invited to attend a town hall-style community meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Paramount Theater. Andrea Morehead will moderate the meeting. Eyewitness News will air the excerpts in the 11 o’clock news cast that night.
“Decision 2012 On the Road is about listening to people in both large and small communities to find out what they think about the economy, health care, education, their communities, and their future. We want to show what Hoosiers really care about”, said Keith Connors, WTHR’s News Director.
Additionally, volunteers from the Anderson League of Women Voters will be at the Town Center from 4 to 7 p.m.to register voters and provide important information such as how to comply with Indiana’s Voter I.D. law and brochures offering practical tips on what to expect on Election Day.
