I-69 Traffic Pattern Changes for Pavement Work

DELAWARE, MADISON COUNTIES, Ind. – Walsh Construction and Rieth-Riley is planning a traffic pattern switch on I-69 between mile markers 227 and 234 (between SR 9/SR 109/Anderson exit 226 and SR 67/Anderson/Muncie exit 234) to begin shoulder work on the I-69 Preventive Maintenance and Added Travel Lane project.

Southbound traffic will be diverted to the right lane and outside shoulders. Northbound traffic will be split. Left lane traffic going northbound will crossover the median and drive in the southbound lane. Right lane traffic going northbound will be diverted to the outside shoulders.

For northbound traffic to access the SR 67 interchange, motorists will have to stay in the outside shoulder lane before entering the split configuration.

The traffic pattern change is anticipated to begin Friday, Aug. 3, weather permitting, and expected to be completed by Saturday, Aug. 4.
