Juvenile arrested after social media threatsINDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) In collaboration with the Warren School Police, IMPD Cyber Crimes, and IMPD Criminal Intelligence has made an arrest reference to the threat made to Warren Central Schools.

Just before 7:00 p.m., on 8.16.17 Officers were dispatched to 2200 block of Prairie Fire Lane reference reports of intimidation. When officers arrived they began to investigate threats that were placed on social media.  Responding officers requested the assistance of IMPD Cyber Crimes Unit and the Criminal Intelligence Unit.

Detectives interviewed several people over the course of the last three days and recovered electronic evidence after serving a search warrant and several subpoenas; ultimately arresting a juvenile female who confessed to making the threats.  Warren School Police has taken the female into custody and transported her to the Juvenile Center.  The male pictured in the posts of the threat is unrelated and was taken from the Internet.  The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
