INDOT East Central Indiana Interstate Closure Update

I-65
Downtown Indianapolis

I-65 may be reduced to one lane for paving between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street (Exit 117) and the I-70 North Split from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weeknights and from midnight to 9 a.m. on weekends. On Thursday night, the I-65 North Exit 116 ramp to 29th and 30th streets is scheduled to close from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. while two right lanes of I-65 North are closed for pavement repairs. http://bit.ly/2tG4HTq

South Side I-465 Interchange

The I-65 North (Exit 106) ramp to I-465 West is closed for construction. Interstate traffic is directed north to the Raymond Street (Exit 109) interchange to return southbound on I-65 and access I-465 West.

The I-465 East (Exit 53) loop ramp to I-65 North is closed for construction. Traffic is directed south on I-65 to Southport Road (Exit 103) to return northbound on I-65.

The I-65 South (Exit 106) ramp to I-465 East is closed for construction. Traffic is directed to Southport Road (Exit 103) to return northbound and access I-465 East.

Two lanes of I-65 South are shifted across the median to share the widened northbound side of the interstate. Opposing directions of traffic are separated by temporary concrete barriers. I-69
82nd Street Interchange

The 82nd Street entrance ramp to I-69 North is scheduled to close at 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 29 until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 31 for pavement repairs. https://lnks.gd/2/3qnWtJ

I-69 Major Moves 2020 Project from State Road 37 to State Road 38

I-69 may be reduced to one lane in each direction for paving near State Road 37 (Exit 205) each night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The I-69 Major Moves 2020 construction zone has overnight lane closures, shifted travel lanes, and reduced speed limits while an additional lane is built in each direction between State Road 37 and State Road 38 (Exit 219). http://www.in.gov/indot/3440.htm

Pleasant Creek Bridges at State Road 332 (McGalliard Road)

I-69 South is reduced to one lane at State Road 332 (McGalliard Road) Exit 241 for bridge construction. All interchange ramps are open. Both directions have shifted traffic lanes and reduced speed limits for bridge construction. http://bit.ly/2uBdVTF

I-70
IND Int’l Airport & Ronald Reagan/Ameriplex Parkway

The Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive (Indianapolis International Airport) ramp to Interstate 70 West is scheduled to close for bridge maintenance and preservation starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 28 until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 31.

Traffic will be directed to I-70 East, I-465 South and State Road 67/Kentucky Avenue Exit 8. Motorists can use the interchange to return to I-465 North and I-70 West.

At the same time:

The westbound collector-distributor ramp parallel to I-70 West will be closed to I-70 West. Access will remain open to the loop ramp to southbound Ameriplex Parkway. The Ronald Reagan/Ameriplex Parkway entrance ramp to I-70 West will also remain open.The collector closure will be between the two ramps.
I-70 West will be reduced to two lanes that will be temporarily shifted to the left at the bridges immediately west of Ronald Reagan/Ameriplex Parkway.
The I-70 East Exit 68A ramp to Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive (Indianapolis International Airport) and Ronald Reagan Parkway will have one lane closed at the bridge immediately west of Ronald Reagan/Ameriplex Parkway.
The I-70 East exit ramp to the Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive (Indianapolis International Airport) will have one lane closed on the bridge over I-70.

I-70 East of Indianapolis

Multiple bridge construction projects on Interstate 70 between Indianapolis and Ohio have overnight lane closures, shifted traffic lanes and reduced work zone speed limits near Post Road (Exit 91), State Road 9 (Exit 104), State Road 109 (Exit 115), State Road 1 (Exit 137) and between State Road 227 (Exit 153) and U.S. 40 (Exit 156).

Drivers may consider using U.S. 40 as an alternate route to avoid construction and potential delays.

Six Mile Creek at Mile 112

The right lane of I-70 East near Mile 112, which is between State Road 9 Exit 104 (Greenfield) and State Road 109 Exit 115 (Knightstown), is scheduled to close on each night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2 through 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5. All traffic will be diverted to the left lane during these overnight closures. The left lane of I-70 East is temporarily diverted across the median to share the westbound side of the interstate with the opposing direction of traffic separated by concrete barriers.

Montgomery Creek Bridges at State Road 109 Exit 115 (Knighstown)

The left lanes of I-70 East and I-70 West at State Road 109 Exit 115 (Knightstown) are scheduled to close starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 29 until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 31.

I-70 Bridges Over State Road 121 (New Paris Pike) at Mile 155 (Richmond)

The left lane of I-70 West is scheduled to close at the bridges Over State Road 121 (New Paris Pike) at Mile 155, which is between State Road 227 Exit 153 and U.S. 40 Exit 156 (Richmond) on Thursday, July 27 and Friday, July 28 starting at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.

I-74
I-74 West may be reduced to one lane for paving between London Road (Exit 103) and I-465 during weeknights between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and weekends between 7 p.m. and noon. http://bit.ly/2u9D1sv
