INDOT Awards Construction Contract for 2 Bridges On State Road 38 in Wayne County

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has awarded a $868,954 construction contract to Duncan Robertson, Inc. for two bridges on State Road 38 in Wayne County.

Duncan Robertson will replace the bridge over Nolands Fork and rehabilitate the bridge over Long Creek. The bridges are less than 300 feet apart and located about a mile and a half between U.S. Highway 35 and Centerville Road.

Construction will require closing the highway for up to 90 days starting sometime after March 15. A specific date will be announced after a project schedule is submitted by contractors. During the road closure, detour signs will direct highway traffic south to Interstate 70 via State Road 1 and U.S. 35. State Road 38 is expected to be open to traffic by September, and all work on the contract is expected to be complete by December.
