CATS Announces New EXPRESS ROUTE To The Flagship

CATS Announces New EXPRESS ROUTE To The Flagship The City of Anderson and CATS is filling a need for safe, reliable transportation for employees at Flagship Industrial Park beginning Monday, July 9, 2012.

Flagship companies have indicated a need for an increase in employees and a need for safe and reliable public transportation.  Three of the four largest companies in the Flagship Center (Xerox, Alliance One and Teleservices Direct) want to add 500 jobs to that area by the end of August totaling 2,000 jobs, with one company willing to purchase monthly bus passes to get their employees to work.

The routes will begin at the CATS downtown terminal at the top of the hour from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and continue non-stop to Flagship. They will take approximately 15 minutes.  The return trip will include stops at Central Indiana Orthopedics and Redbud Trailer Park, which will alleviate congestion from the existing South Madison Bus Route.  The return trip will take approximately 30 minutes.

This EXPRESS ROUTE will be completed as a “trial run” for 60 days.  Ridership is the key for this program to continue on a permanent basis.

Specific route times and days can be found on the CATS facebook page (City of Anderson Transit System CATS) or the City of Anderson Web Site (www.cityofanderson.com) soon!

About the Author

- George Price has been publishing the Pendleton-Gazette since 2008. I was raised in central Indiana, Richmond to be more exact, around a auto repair business. Moved to Muncie when I began my career with State Farm Insurance (Best gig I ever had). Stayed with State farm for almost 25 years and then went back into the auto repair business in Indianapolis for 5 more years. Now I'm on a new journey in that I publish a weekly news magazine, the Pendleton-Gazette.com. That too is a very cool thing. I am learning something new almost every day. I am also quite taking with Social Media's growth and what makes it tick.
