Anderson Man Arrested For Criminal Deviate Conduct and Child Molestation
Police arrest Martin “Skip” Ockomon
Anderson, Indiana – Today an Anderson man was arrested on felony charges alleging sexually oriented crimes against juvenile victims. The charges stem from a lengthy investigation conducted by Indiana State Police Investigators, and a review of that investigation by Special Prosecutor Tami Napier (appointed in 2011) and a Madison County Grand Jury that convened in late August.
Arrested was Martin “Skip” Ockomon, age 46, of Anderson. He was charged with Two Counts of Class “B” Felony Criminal Deviate Conduct, victim Compelled by Force or Imminent Threat of Force; Class “B” Felony Sexual Misconduct with a Minor; Class “C” Felony Child Molesting; Class “C” Felony Criminal Confinement and Two Counts of Child Molesting, Class “D” Felony.
Ockomon was lodged in the Madison County Jail. The charges stem from victims coming forward to report the incidents that allegedly occurred in the 1990’s.
Also arrested this morning in connection with this case was Rodger Ockomon, age 60, of Anderson. He is the brother of Martin “Skip” Ockomon, and he was arrested on a warrant for Official Misconduct, Class “D” Felony, and Assisting a Criminal, Class “A” Misdemeanor.
Update: Late this afternoon, a third arrest was made in this case. Renee Brewster, age 48, was arrested on a Class “D” Felony charge of Neglect of a Dependent, Put in a Situation Endangering Dependents Life or Health. Brewster is the former wife of Martin “Skip” Okomon. She was lodged in the Madison County Jail.
