Board Forum Videos - And That Is The
Truth! |
I am still laughing
about Chris Boots telling about the
college student who wanted to accompany
him to funeral homes and the "ungodly"
way she was dressed. He brought down the
house with his remarks. I would never
have seen it if you hadn't had it on
your Journal. His mother graduated from
Pendleton High School with my son.
If we didn't have change, we would stay
in the same "rut" forever. I didn't want
a microwave when they first came out and
couldn't live without mine now. So keep
up the good work.

Yes, you need to be a bit careful, but
the mercury content is MUCH less than a
4 foot fluorescent! A CFL is about 4
milligrams on average, "button"
batteries about 25 Mg, a 4' fluorescent
about 25 mg, an old thermostat can
contain 3000 mg, a mercury thermometer
500 to 3000 mg. People are going a bit
crazy over this.

that is progress. I will get back to the

03/11/2008 Re: Real Liberals from James Ramsy,
Cold War Christian Democrat , Alexandria , In

It is not uncommon
for someone to write letters to editors claiming
they are pro-republican, because republicans,
including Bush, represent Christians..
Today is reality and the people are bing
deceived because "SEVEN OF THE SUPREME COURT
JUDGES ARE (ACLU controlled?)REPUBLICANS, AND
ONLY TWO ARE DEMOCRATS. How can the People call
the minority of two LIBERALS and authors of
indecency?
A Christian democrat interpretation seems
warranted: If the Supreme Court produces a
legalized version of the Jerry Springer Show,
that’s Republican. If you vote for abortion,
sodomy, same sex marriage, against prayer
anywhere, against the Boy Scouts because they
pray to God and don’t support homosexuals in
their org, that’s of Republican Supreme Court
Rule. And when the Supreme Court rutled "We
don’t make Moral Judgements" they opened the
door to justifying their immoral Republican
judgements on our streets to fill our prisons. |

This year, the
imbalance of imports vs. exports with China (aka Trade
Deficit) topped over $200 billion. That means the USA
imported $200 billion more goods into its country than
China imported into their country. What does this mean?
It boils down to jobs. The people in our area have seen
Anderson's Magnaquench close and relocate out of our
area after a Chinese buyout and pullout. The last North
American Jean company closed and relocated to China
recently. China recently bought out a major portion of
IBM, Big Blue and renamed it Lenovo. When the Republican
led congress would not renew the forestry and mining
resource land protections out west, it allowed foreign
countries to come in and buy up those resources. The
list literally goes on and on. Currently only 1 in 20
shipping containers arriving in from China are being
inspected. And while I wait for the train here in
Pendleton, I see "CHINA SHIPPING" written on the side of
very plain looking containers.
Our Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh attempted to
shed light on the alarming imbalance numbers last year
before the elections by attempting to impose a 19
percent tax on all Chinese imports in order to level the
playing field. The republican led congress gunned down
that legislation. The backbone of the argument is
exposing the fact that China's banking system
manipulates their Chinese currency in such a way as to
make its currency weaker than the US Dollar. They have
been doing this for years and resist change even with US
complaints about this shady practice. By weakening their
own Chinese currency, they empower the US Buck to buy up
all of their cheap goods. Go to Walmart and look on the
shelves. In turn, a poor Chinese citizen cannot afford
to buy even the cheapest of US Made Goods. This creates
an imbalance that favors the Chinese and undermines the
United States playing on an equal level on the trade
table.
This is not fair trade.
